At the very end, time is frozen across the universe except for Fry and Leela. Fry uses Professor Farnsworth’s “Time Button” device that resets time every ten seconds. In a panic, thinking Leela has rejected him, Fry jumps off a building. Leela arrives just in time—but the device breaks, causing time to freeze with only the two of them unfrozen.
