Frieren is an elven mage who was part of a hero party that defeated the Demon King and restored peace to the land. After their victory, the heroes went their separate ways and lived in solitude. As generations pass, Frieren confronts the reality of human mortality, which is very different from her long-lived elven perspective. Her quest centers on coming to terms with life and death, fulfilling the dying wishes of her old friends, and mentoring a new apprentice. Through this journey, she seeks to understand and make peace with the nature of mortality.
