We don’t yet know exactly what causes the house to seal — the force behind it remains mysterious in the currently released trailers and descriptions. What is clear:
What we do know
- The family discovers one morning that doors no longer open and windows can’t be broken — all exits have somehow been sealed off by an unseen force. 2. A strange, violent storm brews outside just as this happens, hinting at something supernatural or otherworldly causing the sealing. 3. The confinement isn’t crafted by a visible antagonist (like people or machines) in the material descriptions — it's portrayed more like an invisible threat or ominous force.
The unknown / what’s still mysterious
- Who or what is responsible (government, supernatural entity, alien force?) is not yet revealed. - Whether the sealing is localized to this house or part of a wider phenomenon is currently uncertain. - Whether the storm, the mysterious force, or something else triggers the sealing is unclear.
