Love For You follows Chen Yi and Miao Jing, who meet as teenagers in the 1990s and start off on the wrong foot. Over time, Miao Jing's kindness breaks through Chen Yi's tough exterior, and they grow close, especially after Chen Yi's father dies and Miao Jing's mother disappears, leaving them to depend on each other. Miao Jing confesses her love, but Chen Yi pushes her away after becoming a crime witness and urges her to leave town. Years later, Chen Yi runs a billiards hall, and Miao Jing returns for work. When Chen Yi suspects her boss is involved in smuggling, he commits to protecting her and staying by her side.
