Beth and Rip buy the Edwards Ranch in Texas for nearly all their savings. - They immediately run into trouble with Beulah Jackson, who had hoped to acquire that land herself. They meet Azul, Everett, Zachariah; tension with Rob-Will. - Discovery of Wes’s murder: Rob-Will kills him, Joaquin helps cover it. Rip finds the body and disposes of it secretly.

2. Episode 3

   • Outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease among Rip’s cattle, traced possibly to a recent auction bull. - Beth goes to Dallas to secure new clients and build her brand. Her confrontation with Beulah becomes more pointed.

Season 1 Finale: “El Padrino” (Episode 9) — Climax & Revelations

• Beth & Rip expose the Jackson family’s deep involvement in drug smuggling: cattle shipments were used to transport illegal cargo across the border. - Beulah confesses to killing her daughter's father decades ago; Mariano had helped hide the crime and later returned to run a smuggling ring vital to 10 Petal Ranch’s survival. Joaquin is revealed to be Mariano’s biological son. - A violent confrontation: Mariano orders hit on Beth & Rip; gunfight ensues.
